Job Description Summary

The Facilities Electrical Engineer will focus on multiple projects in support of the electrical design and operational needs of the Research Center. This includes: ensuring safety and efficiency of operations across the organization, managing complex issues within functional areas of expertise, and involvement in long term planning.

Job Description

Role Summary/Purpose:

The Facilities Electrical Engineer will support the site operations of GE Research.
• Develop electrical design drawings using AutoCad
• Generate electrical equipment material lists for procurement
• Work with Project Managers, Researchers and other staff disciplines
• Provide direction to Electricians, Technicians and other trade labor
• Perform field work to validate construction drawings with as-built conditions
• Participate in developing on-site facility electrical requirements
• Maintain/Update plant electrical single line diagrams
• Manage multiple activities simultaneously
• Utilize NFPA, New York State Building Code and OSHA regulations
Qualifications/Requirements
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college with a minimum 4 years of experience in Electrical Engineering Design or Associates degree from an accredited university or college with a minimum 8 years of experience in Electrical Engineering Design
• US Citizenship is required
• Must be willing to work out of an office located in Niskayuna, NY

The base pay range for this position is 80,000 - 150,000 USD Annually. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary. This posting is expected to close on December 31st, 2025
