We are looking for talented engineers who take great pride in both the technical and business contribution of their work. As a member of our team, you will work closely with the business to design and implement new features. You will contribute to all aspects of an agile software development life cycle including design, architecture, development, documentation, testing and operations. You will push your design and architecture limits by owning all aspects of solutions end-to-end

Key job responsibilities

As an engineer in a relatively new team, you will have the opportunity to work on challenging problems in the low latency/high throughput domain of dynamic ad insertion for Live Sports and Video on demand.

Our architecture processes and handles high TPS (in millions) with obsessively high reliability and low operational overhead. The systems you design and build will be in the core path of video delivery to Prime Video customers worldwide. We leverage Amazon Web Services (AWS) technologies including AWS CloudFront, EC2, S3, DynamoDB, Lambda, SNS, SQS and internal AWS incubator technologies.

About The Team

The team is chartered to design large scale systems to power the live and VoD streams with ads viewed by a massive audience daily, and you will help bring customers streaming video view experience to a new level.

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
• 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
