Responsibilities
- Demonstrate competence in selecting exposure factors, positioning patients, and producing radiographs of diagnostic quality; assist Radiologist during interventional procedures; troubleshoot equipment issues and report malfunctions promptly.
- Instruct and prepare patients for examinations; provide procedural support to Radiologist during Interventional Radiology cases; ensure patient comfort and safety throughout procedures.
- Operate radiology equipment within department protocols; coordinate with team to maintain efficient room turnover and timely completion of all procedures.
- Maintain medication security and access controls per policy; uphold patient rights and confidentiality in all interactions.
- Demonstrate proficiency with Hospital Information System (HIS), Radiology Information System (RIS), and PACS; document procedures accurately; participate in performance improvement activities when warranted.
- Communicate effectively with physicians and hospital staff; answer technical inquiries while upholding professional phone etiquette.

Requirements
- NYS license (or eligibility to obtain prior to start)
- BLS (American Heart Association)
- Minimum 2 years of radiology experience; interventional radiology exposure preferred
- ARRT certification (or eligibility); VIR certification preferred
- Ability to work in a hospital setting and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
