Job purpose:

Be a co-owner in an 100% Employee - Owned multi-state wholesale organization, assisting with company growth initiatives by providing support to the Credit and Management team.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Engagement with sales team and new customer set up to foster company growth
  • Main contact for branch/customer credit and invoicing issues
  • Daily monitoring of department email for order approvals, payments & action items pertaining to accounts
  • Reconciliation of daily bank reporting for Finance Executive
  • Interfacing with all customers and management of past due balances
  • Management of network drive of all electronic customer documents
  • Post all AR payments on account and deposit checks remotely
  • Regular communication with the Credit Manager regarding department challenges and projects
  • Other credit duties and functions, as assigned

Requirements

 

  Qualifications: Education/Skills/Experience

  • High School Diploma, additional secondary education preferred
  • 2 years of accounting or bookkeeping background highly preferred
  • 2 years progressive computer experience (Microsoft Word and Excel)
  • 2 years’ experience working in a fast-paced multi-tasked office environment.

Working Conditions

Normal office environment. Work schedule is Monday- Friday from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. There may be some flexibility in the department for these hours to shift to start earlier or later depending on business needs. Full-time 40 hours per week required.

Physical requirements

This job is performed in an office environment with long periods of sitting, working on the computer, answering phones, operating office equipment such as copiers, fax, etc. Standing and walking around are also performed on a regular basis. Filing is required where stooping, kneeling may be involved.

Salary: $20-$22/hr DOE
