Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) for the Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit (CTICU) at a teaching hospital in White Plains, NY. This role focuses on providing advanced critical care to cardiac and thoracic patients in a fast-paced ICU environment. Ideal candidates will have strong ICU experience and excellent clinical and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill CTICU patients
- Monitor patient conditions, administer medications, and manage IV infusions
- Provide airway management and ventilator support
- Perform patient assessments and respond to changes in condition
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on care planning and discharge
- Document care using EMR/EHR systems (Epic, Cerner)
Required Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- ICU experience required (CTICU or Trauma experience preferred)
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems (Epic, Cerner, etc.)
- Strong skills in ventilator care, IV therapy, and critical care procedures
- Ability to work effectively in a high-acuity environment
