Production Technician Supervisor

We are seeking an Equipment Supervisor to join our team! We are looking for someone to provide direction and mechanical support to all production mechanics as the need arises. We need an individual to monitor all work in progress ensuring that a constant production workflow is maintained, and equipment repairs are completed in a timely fashion. salary: $70,000 - $75,000 per year

Responsibilities

• Maintains our parts inventory for all equipment by providing a complete list of parts to be ordered, including the vendor to be used and the associated cost for each part.
• Monitor records of preventive maintenance performed on equipment and ensures that the maintenance occurs according to scheduled deadlines.
• Keeps informed of all new technology and equipment used by the technical support and production operations departments.
• Fills in and assumes all Management responsibilities in the Department Manager’s absence.
• Accountable to meet or exceed Cost Per Unit targets on his/her shift (i.e. labor costs, overtime, inventory control etc.)
• Monitors and improves machine efficiency.
• Coaches, counsels, motivates, develops, supports, encourages and instructs all Technicians under direct report.
• Verifies all administrative work is filled out accurately, monitoring and following departmental procedures.
• Maintains all records pertaining to department personnel under individuals' reports.
• Span of control, approx : 3-8 FTA’s + 6-8 TE’s and all production equipment used by technical support and production operations.
• Position requires daily communication/ updates with senior management on strategic work scheduling issues.
• Monitors daily reports on throughput and equipment downtime giving feedback to department personnel.
