Why This Role Exists
As FreshFix grows its wholesale and specialproject workincluding school programs, nonprofit partnerships, and Medicaid 1115 Waiver initiativeswere seeking a detaildriven specialist to own vendor coordination, ordering, and inventory data. This role is critical to keeping our systems accurate, our partners supported, and our programs running smoothly.
What Youll Do
Be a key partner liaison: Build and maintain strong relationships with local producers, schools, nonprofits, and institutional buyers
Own inventory & ordering accuracy: Create purchase orders, manage confirmations, run reports, and keep system inventory aligned and accurate Maintain clean product data: Set up and manage SKUs, pricing, pack sizes, attributes, and online catalogs in our ordering platform Support special programs: Help coordinate custom boxes, menu plans and pricing, grantsupported food procurement, and partner timelines Improve systems & processes: Troubleshoot issues, document workflows, and help build repeatable systems as we growWhat Were Looking For
Strong attention to detail and organization
Comfortable working with spreadsheets and product data (Excel/Google Sheets, CSVs, reports) Experience with inventory, ordering, or supply chain coordination Clear communicator who enjoys working with many partners Able to learn new software and solve problems independently Valid drivers licenseNice to Have
Experience with food hubs, multivendor ordering systems, or wholesale food operations
Familiarity with produce handling, FEFO inventory, or vendor documentation Knowledge of school food programs or Medicaid 1115 Waiver initiativesWorking Conditions
Onsite, office and warehousebased role
Regular time in refrigerated areas Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and work on your feet as neededSubject to employer reference and criminal background check.
