We are pursuing a high energy, motivated Accounting Analyst in Coxsackie, NY.

Full Time / Monday - Friday / Hybrid work schedule after training


POSITION SUMMARY


Provides management with financial information by researching and analyzing accounts, preparing journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations. Associate will provide insight changes in wage and benefits that impact the company profitcapability. Assist in establishing documentation and ensuring GAAP and separation of tasks are properly accomplished. Lead in communication and review of Financial Reporting.


ESSENTIAL POSITION RESULTS


• Prepare monthly journal entries, including but not limited to; prepaid expenses, medical accruals, general accounting, and payroll related reconciliations
• everyday cash reconciliation between the bank, SAP and various forms of payment, utilizing excel
• Strong Excel expertise – work with pivot tables, VLOOKUP’s, sumif, etc.
• Analyzes information and options by developing spreadsheet reports, verifying information. Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
• Reconciliation and analysis of key ledger accounts.
• Complete all necessary transactions related to operating cash, payroll and benefit accounting.
• Periodically audit employee set up to validate annual changes to benefit deductions and ER accruals are accurate in SAP. Verify that all financial sections are properly posted to the correct general ledger account in SAP.
• Ensures that payments for medical, life, discapability, union dues, etc. are accurate according to payroll deductions.
• Provides audit requests data for annual audit as needed
• Provides reporting services to management by compiling and analyzing data as requested or required, including but not limited ton
? Monthly headcount report as compared to budget and prior year.
? Monthly financial support schedules as assigned.
? Pension trending (Sales and Operations) tie monthly to ledger
? Employees Activities account recon to Activities committee
• Maintains customer confidence and protects EMN by keeping information confidential.
• Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
• Contributes to the team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Other tasks as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS


Education, Certifications and /or licenses:


• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field is preferred
practice:
• 2 year financial Analytics practice or equivalent combination of education and practice.
• practice with SAP or similar enterprise wide system is a plus.
expertise/expertise:
• Proficient PC expertise using MS Office and other various computer systems.
• Must be a results oriented professional with excellent verbal/written communication expertise using diplomacy and discretion as well as strong customer service expertise.
• Advanced Excel expertise are a plus.
• capability to multi-task, work independently and/or within a team, attention to detail and meet deadlines.
