Responsibilities

Integration Development:

Design and development of Calypso integrations using the Calypso API (Java-based) and CalypsoML/XML message formats

Development of inbound and outbound interfaces using Calypso's MessageGateway framework

Integration with SWIFT connectivity layers (SWIFT Alliance, SIANet, or service bureau) for MT and MX message delivery

Development of interfaces to SAP (GL, AP, Payments Engine) using file-based or API-driven integration patterns

Integration with market data providers (Bloomberg B-PIPE, Refinitiv TREP/RTDS) for real-time and EOD price feeds

Development of interfaces to upstream trade capture systems (OMS/EMS) and downstream risk, custody, and reporting platforms

Experience with middleware platforms (IBM MQ, Tibco EMS, Kafka) used as message brokers in Calypso integration architectures

Implementation of REST/SOAP web service integrations where Calypso connects to external systems via API Reporting & Data Extraction

Development of Calypso standard and custom reports: trade blotters, position reports, P&L reports, and accounting journals

Configuration of report scheduling, output formats (CSV, XML, PDF), and delivery mechanisms (SFTP, email, shared drive)

Development of data extracts for downstream consumers: risk systems, finance, regulatory reporting, and data warehouses

Experience with BI tools (Business Objects, Cognos, or similar) used alongside Calypso for MIS reporting

You will be required to manage a junior resource performing integration and reporting tasks -You could also be acting as a scrum master in order to ensure the agile methodology is followed and the team is working efficiently. -You might be acting also as a business analyst as well in order to help the team gathering and writing requirements, acceptance criteria.

Skills

Must have

5+ years Calypso technical experience across implementation, integration, and migration projects

Proficient in Java development within the Calypso API framework

Strong SQL (Oracle/MSSQL) for database analysis, data migration, and performance tuning

Experience with Unix/Linux shell scripting for environment automation and batch management

Knowledge of application server administration (JBoss/WildFly) and JVM performance tuning

Familiarity with version control (Git/SVN), CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices in a Calypso context

Experience with Agile (Scrum/Kanban) delivery alongside structured governance frameworks

Strong communication skills across technical and business stakeholders at all levels
