Makeup artist / cosmetologist

We’re seeking a skilled and creative Makeup Artist to join our team on an on-call or part-time basis . This role is perfect for an artist who enjoys working across different styles — from fresh, natural looks to full glam and event-ready makeup — using a variety of professional brands and products to meet each client’s needs.

Pay starts at $17.50 + 10% commission on all sales/services provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional makeup services for clients from everyday natural looks to glamorous event looks
• Work confidently with different brands and product lines , tailoring choices to skin type, tone, and lighting conditions
• Collaborate with photographers, stylists, and production teams to achieve cohesive visual results for social, events, and client needs
• Maintain a clean and organized kit, ensuring hygiene and product care at all times
• Keep current with evolving beauty trends, products, and techniques
• Attend to clients in a warm, inclusive, and professional manner, delivering exceptional service

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a makeup artist (portfolio required) with at least 2 years of experience at a salon, commercial or mobile glam company setting
• Strong understanding of makeup products, brands, and formulations across various skin tones
• Expertise in both natural and full glam/event looks
• Excellent communication and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently and adapt to different environments
• Must provide own professional makeup kit and brushes
• Certification or formal training in makeup artistry (preferred but not required)
• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including nights, weekends and special events
• A high level of ownership, accountability, and initiative
