Job Description (including but not limited to):


Areas of Responsibilities:

Making a positive first impression by welcoming guests to their tables.

Accurately recording food and beverage orders, often using a POS system or order slips.

Being knowledgeable about menu items, ingredients, and potential allergens to answer customer questions and make recommendations.

Delivering orders to tables efficiently and professionally, ensuring correct preparation and presentation.

Providing excellent service by checking on guests, refilling drinks, addressing concerns, and ensuring satisfaction throughout their meal.

Processing payments accurately and efficiently, including cash and card transactions.

Clearing finished dishes, wiping tables, and maintaining a clean and organized dining area.

Communicating effectively with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth order fulfillment and addressing any issues.

Adhering to all relevant NYC health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and hygiene practices.

Communication: Clear and effective communication with both customers and team members.

Multitasking: Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy in orders, table settings, and overall service.

Physical Stamina: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and handle trays of food and drinks.

Problem-Solving: Ability to handle customer complaints and resolve issues effectively.

Ideal Experience:

• Three years of experience in a 3-star fine dining restaurant.
• Must have a strong French Wine knowledge background as well as cocktails and full knowledge of spirits.
• Proven track record of dependability and a passion for hospitality.
• Day, weekend, and night availability

Compensation Details

Compensation: Hourly (cash wage of $11.35) plus tips ($17 per hour minus tip credit)
