Travel Registered Nurse PCU Job

TLC Healthforce
Watertown, NY
Step into a pivotal nursing role as a Registered Nurse in PCU, traveling to Watertown, New York, where your clinical expertise can transform patient outcomes while you explore a region rich in culture, history, and community resilience. This opportunity blends specialized critical care in a progressive care setting with the freedom to deliver compassionate care across diverse patient populations. Picture yourself sharpening skills in telemetry interpretation, post–acute stabilization, hemodynamic monitoring, medication safety protocols, and evidence-based pain and symptom management, all while actively contributing to care plans that optimize recovery trajectories. You’ll join a community of dedicated professionals who value curiosity, patient advocacy, and collaborative problem solving. And beyond the hospital walls, New York state reveals a tapestry of beauty—from the rugged Adirondack peaks and pristine river corridors to the serene shores of the Thousand Islands—inviting you to unwind after meaningful shifts and weekend adventures with family or friends.

Watertown sits in the heart of upstate New York, offering a welcoming, family-oriented environment with easy access to outdoor recreation, seasonal activities, and a robust regional healthcare network. You’ll enjoy proximity to excellent dining, cultural events, outdoor concerts, and educational resources, all while benefiting from the opportunity to explore different locations across the United States as assignments rotate. This role allows you to experience varied hospital cultures, patient populations, and care delivery models, broadening your professional perspective. In your downtime, you can explore nearby parks along the Black River, visit charming local farms, or take day trips to the Finger Lakes for wine tasting, hiking, or boating. The climate provides distinct seasons that enrich your life and your clinical insight, complementing the demanding and rewarding nature of your work.

Role specifics: You will provide continuous assessment and stabilization for PCU patients, monitor vital signs and telemetry, administer medications per protocols, anticipate and respond to acute changes, and collaborate with physicians, case managers, pharmacists, and rehabilitation teams. You’ll implement, audit, and refine care plans, document thoroughly, and educate patients and families about discharge planning, medications, red flags, and expected outcomes. You’ll participate in rounds, contribute to rapid response and code readiness, and uphold best practices in infection prevention, fall prevention, and patient safety. This path offers robust professional growth: you’ll gain advanced competencies in post-ICU transition care, telemetry interpretation, and complex comorbidity management, with opportunities to mentor new travelers or staff, lead quality improvement initiatives, and engage in continuing education. The position includes a competitive weekly pay range of 2,108 to 2,208 USD, housing assistance to ease relocation, and extension opportunities to extend your assignment beyond the initial period. A performance-based bonus program recognizes your contributions, and our comprehensive onboarding ensures you have the tools and resources you need from day one. We provide 24/7 support while you travel with the company, including travel coordination, credentialing assistance, credential verification, and access to local resources in every assignment location. Guaranteed hours of 36.0 per week offer stability alongside the flexibility of weekly scheduling, with a Start Date of 02/19/2026 and an initial contract described as Weeks, with potential for renewals.

Company values: Our organization is committed to empowering nurses by prioritizing your professional development, safety, and well-being. We champion a culture of mentorship, transparent communication, and collaborative decision making, where your clinical voice informs patient care and process improvement. You’ll find structured pathways for career advancement, leadership opportunities, and access to certifications and specialty trainings that align with your goals. We support you with resources to balance work and life, including wellness initiatives, flexible scheduling options when possible, and a network of travel professionals who understand the unique challenges of seasonal assignments. Our mission is to foster a compassionate, inclusive environment where you feel valued, heard, and equipped to thrive in diverse healthcare settings.

Call to action: If you’re ready to make a tangible impact on patients’ lives while expanding your clinical horizons, apply now to join a company that honors your expertise, respects your professional journey, and supports your path from travel nurse to expert clinician. This is more than an assignment—it’s a doorway to lifelong growth, meaningful connections, and a future built on clinical excellence, teamwork, and compassionate care.
