About the Role:

As a CBRE Sr Facilities Manager, you will manage many functions of building operations and maintenance for a facility, campus, or portfolio of buildings.

This job is a part of the Facilities Management functional area which focuses on all aspects of the operations of a set of assets, providing support to the Property Managers regarding all repairs and investment plans.

What You'll Do:

  • Responsibility for 16 facilities within the geography (PA, NJ, NY and MD) with about 30% travel component.

  • Will have responsibility for a $20,000,000 budget.

  • Role is in the defense sector.

  • Provide formal supervision to 4 employees. Track the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and coaching. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees.

  • Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed.

  • Coordinate and manage facility repairs and maintenance by working with technicians, vendors, and contractors.

  • Maintain positive client relationships and conduct meetings on unresolved facility issues.

  • Prepare and manage large and high-profile capital projects, operating budgets, and variance reports.

  • Perform facility inspections quality assurance following local, state, and federal regulations. Suggest and implement operational efficiencies, repairs, and upgrade opportunities.

  • Create environmental health and safety procedures for facilities.

  • Develop vendor relationships and oversee invoicing procedures. Review and approve purchase orders for the procurement of parts, services, and labor for projects.

  • Apply a broad knowledge of the business, own discipline, and how own discipline integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives.

  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Influence others to adopt a different point of view while being guided by policies and departmental plans.

  • Identify and solve technical and operational problems of complexity.

  • Understand and recognize the broader impact across the department.

  • Improve and change existing methods, processes, and standards within job discipline.

What You'll Need:

  • Responsibility for 16 facilities within the geography (PA, NJ, NY and MD) with about 30% travel component.

  • Experience with operating budgets up to $20,000,000.

  • FM projects overseeing PM's.

  • Manufacturing/production/office facilities.

  • Prefer SI7, MyBuy and Coupa.

  • Prefer someone with 5+ years of facilities management in either a manufacturing or a critical facilities environment.

  • Prefer someone with people management and creation and oversight of financials and budgets.

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 5+ years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Valid driver's license required. Facility Management certification preferred.

  • Prefer budget creation and analysis experience.

  • Prefer management of quarterly business review process.

  • Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention is preferred.

  • Ability to lead the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems.

  • Leadership skills to motivate the team to achieve broad operational targets.

  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

  • Extensive organizational skills and an advanced inquisitive mindset.

  • Intermediate math skills. Ability to calculate complicated figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.

The minimum salary for the Sr Facilities Manager position is $13 0,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Sr Facilities Manager position is $140,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE's applicable benefit program.
