MIT Logistics Inc is a fast-growing transportation company committed to safety, efficiency, and reliability. We are looking for a strong leader to help manage daily terminal operations while ensuring full compliance with safety regulations.
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Terminal & Safety Manager to oversee day-to-day terminal operations and lead our safety and compliance programs. This role is critical to maintaining DOT compliance, improving driver performance, and ensuring efficient fleet operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily terminal operations and staff
- Ensure full compliance with DOT, FMCSA, and company safety regulations
- Manage driver safety programs , training, and performance monitoring
- Conduct safety audits, inspections, and incident investigations
- Maintain and organize driver qualification files and compliance records
- Coordinate fleet maintenance schedules and ensure equipment safety
- Monitor HOS (Hours of Service) and ELD compliance
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures
- Work closely with dispatch and operations teams to improve efficiency
Requirements:
- Prior experience in transportation, logistics, or fleet management
- Strong knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations and compliance
- Experience with ELD systems and safety management programs
- Leadership and team management experience
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
- CDL license is a plus, but not required
