Research Engagement Manager

A global intelligence and advisory firm is seeking to hire a Research Engagement Manager, to join its busy New York team.

Work at firm is exciting and challenging and offers the opportunity to conduct in-depth analysis, primary research, and consulting on a wide range of issues of interest to international investors and corporations. This is a demanding position in which you will work with the custom research team to understand clients’ questions and then lead the process to discover the answers.

The firm seeks a custom researcher and project manager of the very highest caliber to join its New York City office. Applicants must have full-time work capability with preferred availability in New York City, and proficiency in at least one language other than English. Only mid-career candidates will be considered for this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Helping leading investment analysts and corporate leaders leverage primary research to make better decisions
• Interacting with leaders and front-line managers in global policy and industries
• Writing, analyzing, synthesizing, and presenting complex findings to meet high standards
• Working closely with the firm’s research and executive teams
• Managing project execution and client engagement
• Interviewing leading subject matter experts from global network to extract critical insights into client questions
• Monitoring and regularly reporting on complex political, economic, and security dynamics in challenging countries

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

Ideal candidates will have completed an undergraduate or graduate degree with an emphasis on business and/or international affairs and fluency in at least one language besides English. Three to seven years work experience in security policy, consulting, risk analysis, sell-side research, or international business is required. Candidates are expected to demonstrate a genuine interest in international affairs. Self-starters with demonstrated passion and drive are especially encouraged to apply. Candidates must have:

Additional Information & Company Benefits

Base salary is determined by experience and education, and is set according to standard internal pay bands. For this role, the salary range is $85,000 – $125,000. In addition to base salary, the firm offers a competitive annual bonus, excellent healthcare coverage, and variable 401k matching
