The selected candidate will work for Stony Brook University's Department of Family, Population and Preventive Medicine as a full-time, patient focused clinician in an ambulatory Patient Centered Medical Home setting that is collegial and team based (No inpatient requirements). Candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to the teaching mission, research projects and collaborate on innovative evidence based patient care programs.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications: MD or DO(or foreign equivalent), DEA Certification or eligibility; Board Certified or eligible in Family Medicine; New York State Licensed or eligible. Graduate of an Accredited Family Medicine Residency Training Program.

Preferred Qualifications: Three or more years primary care experience. Experience working in a patient centered medical home environment. Interest in teaching residents and medical students.

With 624 beds, Stony Brook University Hospital serves as Suffolk County's only tertiary care center and Regional Trauma Center. Stony Brook Children's, with more than 180 pediatric specialists in 30 specialties, offers the most advanced pediatric specialty care in the region. In the Medical and Research Translation (MART) building, two floors are occupied by Stony Brook University Cancer Center's outpatient services, and four floors are devoted to cancer research.
