Coaching Opportunity — Pitch Gladiators Soccer Academy (Port Chester Program)

Pitch Gladiators Soccer Academy is looking for motivated soccer coaches to support our player development clinics in Port Chester.

This is a 1099 independent contractor position .

That means:

• Coaches work as independent professionals
• Paid per session or agreed rate
• Flexible involvement based on availability

The goal of the role is to help players:

• Improve technical ability
• Develop confidence with the ball
• Learn to play and think as a team

The environment is designed to be educational, competitive, and fun .

Think of it like guiding a learning laboratory for soccer — where players experiment, make mistakes, and grow.

Training Schedule

Primary training block:

• Monday – Friday
• 4:00 PM – 5:30 PM

Possible second block:

• 6:15 PM – 7:30 PM

Responsibilities

Coaches will help guide structured training sessions within a clinic format.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading technical development exercises
• Assisting with small-sided games and game scenarios
• Helping players improve:
• Ball control
• Passing
• Dribbling
• Decision making
• Encouraging discipline, teamwork, and confidence
• Creating a positive and organized training environment
• Supporting players’ individual and collective development

Example:

A good coach doesn’t just run drills — they help players understand why a decision works or doesn’t work during a game.

Preferred Background

Requirements:

• Youth soccer coaching experience
• Playing experience (club, college, or professional)
• Coaching licenses or currently working toward one
• Experience working with children
• Safesport Certification ( Can be in progress, needed before first official day)
