Project Accounting Supervisor

Kforce's client, one of New York's most respected Real Estate Developers, seeks a Project Accounting Supervisor. This role offers competitive compensation/benefits, a great work environment and lots of visibility and potential to advance. Responsibilities:

• Direct supervision of personnel including Project Accountants and Accounts Payable Associates
• Project Accounting Supervisor will review and ensure accuracy and integrity of AIA invoice billing
• Review and verify billing for fee percentage and insurance
• Liaise with clients and monitor collection of billing
• In charge of outstanding accounts receivables -manage follow-up inquiries to clients
• Monitor cash flow and communicate to senior management
• Participate in monthly financial meetings with project managers for monitor progress of project and ensure proper and accurate billing and pay application to client per contract terms
• Review and interpret contracts, subcontractor documents, payment terms, insurance, and bond requirements
• Review and verify accuracy of final AIA payment application from trade subcontractors
• Liaise with vendors and respond to inquiries from general contractors and project managers
• In charge of outstanding accounts payables
• As a Project Accounting Supervisor, you will monitor weekly check runs and wire transfers
• Responsible for close out of the projects upon their completion
• Assist with the monthly close process and financial reporting for the Company
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred
• 7+ years of construction/project accounting experience
• Experience with Sage 300 (Timberline accounting software) and Procore (project management software)
• Strong communication skills; Both verbal and written
• Proficient at an intermediate level with MS Excel
• Able to analyze raw data and present it in a meaningful manner to upper management
• Willing to work in office 5 days in midtown Manhattan
