IMMEDIATE OPENING: Medical Receptionist / Practice Support Associate

We are seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist / Practice Support Associate to join a fast‑paced, patient‑focused medical practice. This is a stable, long‑term opportunity with room for growth , offering the chance to become part of a leading healthcare network.

💲 $24/hr

🕒 Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of healthcare administration experience
  • Proficiency with EMR systems
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Experience with patient check‑in, insurance verification, and appointment scheduling
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients, answer phones, and schedule appointments
  • Provide administrative support to physicians and practice management
  • Manage and maintain patient records
  • Scan insurance cards, referral forms, progress notes, and other documentation into the EMR
  • Handle insurance verifications , referrals, and authorizations
  • Retrieve procedure and exam authorizations as needed
  • Maintain and update all information in the EMR database
  • Support billing functions and general office workflow

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Smithtown, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
