Pediatric RN Job Details

• Location: Rochester, NY 14642 (Western New York healthcare jobs)
• Setting: Pediatric Cardiac Care ICU (PCCC)
• Employment Type: Travel Nurse / Locum Tenens
• Assignment Duration: 17 weeks (September 29, 2025 – January 24, 2026)
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2200–$2260
• Hours per Week: 36 hours
• Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts (Days/Evenings/Nights), including weekends, holidays, and on-call/callback as needed
• Schedule: 4 shifts per week, 12 hours each

Pediatric RN Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State (NY RN license required)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) experience
• At least 6 months of Cardiac PICU or pediatric cardiac care experience
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association only)
• Current PALS certification (American Heart Association only)

Pediatric Cardiac Care RN Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive diagnosis, medical and surgical treatment, and long-term follow-up care for pediatric patients with acquired and congenital cardiac conditions
• Provide specialized nursing care for infants, children, and young adults with complex and rare congenital cardiac disorders
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure the highest standard of patient care
• Participate in charge nurse duties as needed per unit requirements
• Adapt to rotating shift schedules, including weekends, holidays, and on-call/callback assignments
