Some travel may be required for this position. Duties include, but are not limited to, the following: • Assists in the administration of facilities operations, including monitoring building systems, coordinating maintenance and repairs, and ensuring vendor and contractor services meet established standards;• Supports the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and programs to ensure efficient, safe, and well-maintained building operations;• Supervises and evaluates staff performance, establishes work objectives, and coordinates personnel actions, including performance reviews and disciplinary matters, in consultation with management;• Monitors and administers vendor contracts and service agreements, reviews invoices for accuracy and approval, and resolves service issues, disputes, and compliance concerns;• Oversees daily office services operations, including mail, logistics, surplus property, and coordination of support services; collaborates with IT and other units to support operational needs; and• Coordinates safety, security, and emergency preparedness activities, including building access, HVAC operations, ergonomics, and emergency response programs; ensures compliance with health and safety requirements.

Substitutions: An associate degree can substitute for two years of specialized experience; a bachelor’s degree can substitute for four years of experience.NY HELPS: This title is part of the New York Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement Statewide Program (NY HELPS). For the duration of the NY HELPS Program, this title maybe filled via a non-competitive appointment, which means no examination is required but all candidates must meet the minimum qualifications of the title for which they apply (see minimum qualifications above). At this time, agencies may recruit and hire employees by making permanent non-competitive appointments. At a future date (within one year of appointment), it is expected employees hired under NY HELPS will have their non-competitive employment status converted to competitive status, without having to compete in an examination.
