Summary
The Storekeeper in a supply locker location is responsible for the overall handling of telephone supplies and materials at any storeroom location assigned. The Storekeeper directs the efforts of other employees (where applicable).

General Duties
Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

A. Orders, receives and stores telephone supplies, material and tools for the respective departments.

B. Receives request for and arranges the delivery of supplies.

C. Determines quantities of supplies to be ordered, and frequency of ordering and maintaining stock levels.

D. Takes inventories and arranges stock supplies.

E. Schedules pick up and deliveries.

F. Performs storeroom tasks, as required.

G. Receipts and records the delivery of supplies through the use of a computer terminal.

H. Initiates claims for missing, damaged or obsolete material to obtain proper credit.

I. Stages and packages materials for deliveries by transportation or for return to Verizon.

J. Operates various types of material handling equipment to stage large items where appropriate.

K. May be required to drive a company vehicle.

L. Communicates on the telephone to other company employees regarding supply orders.

M. May work in MDC, locker, cable yard, storeroom, central office and remote customer locations.

N. Performs work both indoors and outdoors.

O. May be required to perform additional duties and tasks as required by the Company.

Basic Qualifications
A. Tests – Results obtained in standard tests for this position must meet minimum requirements established by the Company, in accordance with Company policy.

B. Normal Medical authorization for this job except if previously taken and is still considered valid.

C. Previous experience in warehousing or supplies field.

D. Must possess a valid driver’s license and have a good driving record.

E. Satisfactory performance rating in present job.

F. Satisfactory attendance/punctuality record in present job.

G. Must be available to work scheduled tours designated by the Collective Bargaining Agreement and/or the needs of the business. Associates may be required to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as the needs of the business necessitate.

The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. For part-time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.

The weekly wage range for the New York location(s) listed on this job requisition based on a full-time schedule is: $761.00 - $1,739.00.
