Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a busy utilities location, where you will monitor entry points, verify badges and credentials, and support security-related operations with professionalism and care. In this role, you will remain visible, help to deter incidents, and deliver strong customer service through clear communication, teamwork, and integrity while using technology to support a smooth and welcoming access experience.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $19.30 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeFri11:00 PM - 07:00 AMSat10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a utility location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and credentials, and document visitor, vehicle, and contractor access in accordance with post orders and location requirements.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, restricted areas, and perimeter locations to help identify potential concerns and report security-related issues.
  • Support screening and checkpoint operations, maintain accurate logs and reports, and follow established protocols for deliveries, keys, and restricted access areas.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
