The Louis S. Wolk Jewish Community Center of Greater Rochester is located alongside the Erie Canal in Brighton and is a 200,000 square foot facility that houses our state-of-the-art fitness, wellness and recreation programming, an aquatics center, a Professional Theatre, Children’s Center and our Camping Program.

The Campaign Manager is a key member of the Development team, responsible for managing donor data systems, implementing annual campaign strategies, tracking campaign performance, and generating reports that inform strategic decision-making. This role also supports stewardship activities, coordinates fundraising event logistics, sends mass donor communications, and responds to general donor inquiries. The ideal candidate is proactive, analytical, and equally comfortable behind a spreadsheet or engaging with donors, volunteers, and senior staff. They bring care, discretion, and strong communication skills to this critical role, helping to strengthen community impact through effective and efficient development operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Donor Data & Reporting
- Manage and optimize the Raiser’s Edge donor database to ensure accurate and timely gift entry, record maintenance, and overall data integrity.
- Leverage advanced features in Raiser’s Edge, including dashboards and segmentation tools, to monitor campaign performance and donor engagement.
- Generate and maintain detailed reports on fundraising activity, donor trends, and development metrics to inform strategy and decision-making.
- Partner with the finance team to reconcile donations and ensure accurate monthly and annual revenue reporting.
- Serve as the primary point of accountability for donor data accuracy and the creation of reports that support development planning, stewardship, and organizational impact.
Donor Cultivation, Stewardship & Engagement
- Maintain & build strong, ongoing relationships with donors through personalized cultivation and stewardship strategies to ensure high donor retention and appreciation.
- Support a portfolio of 100–250 mid-level donors (gifts ranging from $250–$2,500), including tracking touchpoints, ensuring timely follow-ups, and identifying upgrade opportunities.
- Collaborate with the Director of Development to identify donors with major gift potential and coordinate cultivation strategies.
- Execute donor recognition activities, including thank-you letters, public recognition, naming opportunities, and impact reports.
- Assist in identifying and cultivating planned giving prospects to help build long-term sustainability.
Communications & Content Creation
- Manage department email communications using platforms such as Constant Contact & Raiser’s Edge; design, execute, and analyze email campaigns.
- Create compelling fundraising content for appeals, newsletters, social media, and stewardship materials.
- Support production of development letters, reports, and documents (e.g., mail merges, labels, spreadsheets).
Fundraising Campaigns & Events
- Plan, manage, and execute all annual fundraising campaigns, including direct mail, email, and digital giving efforts, in alignment with strategic goals.
- Coordinate logistics for development events, including invitations, RSVP tracking, vendor communication, setup, and post-event follow-up.
- Develop and manage sponsorship opportunities; cultivate relationships with local businesses for event partnerships and matching gifts.
Administrative & Departmental Support
- Respond to donor and community inquiries with professionalism and timely follow-up.
- Maintain organized digital and physical development records.
- Provide cross-functional support for development initiatives, events, and general office functions.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required; relevant fields include communications, nonprofit management, marketing, or related discipline
- 1–3 years of experience in nonprofit development, fundraising operations, or donor engagement
- Proficiency with donor databases (Raiser’s Edge or similar CRM required), including queries, reports, and data segmentation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; experience creating donor-centric content is a plus
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and pay close attention to detail
- Demonstrated experience planning and coordinating fundraising campaigns or events
- Strong analytical skills; ability to interpret data and apply insights to campaign strategies
- Familiarity with email marketing tools (e.g., Constant Contact) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment
- Comfort interacting with donors and community members with professionalism and discretion
