Shift Supervisor

Position Summary
Ray's Hometown Bar is seeking a career-driven, hospitality focused Shift Supervisor to join our FOH team! The Shift Supervisor position will assist the General Manager in executing daily tasks, overseeing the FOH staff and maintaining the overall health of the venue. This position is for any individuals who are looking to further develop their management skills, with the opportunity to take on more leadership roles as the company continues to grow.

Job Requirements:
• The ability to work in a high energy environment.
• Must be able to take direction & follow through on all given tasks.
• Must have the ability to multitask, taking notes as needed to complete a number of goals given to you by the managers and Ownership.
• Must be detail oriented, specifically in regard to: aesthetics, décor and overall venue cleanliness and maintenance (Inc. music volume, lighting levels, etc)
• Have the ability to train and lead the team to provide the highest quality service to guests at all times.
• Overseeing the health of the venue, maintaining good relationships with the neighbors, landlords and contractors.
• Always promote positive guest/employee relations, adhering to best practices as listed in our Handbook, and in compliance with NYC regulations.
• Can be the manager’s eyes and ears on the floor.
• Must be comfortable giving the team direction + constructive feedback as needed.
• Have a full understanding of what it means to provide excellent service and hospitality.
• Must be proficient and responsive on email and via text.
• Should be comfortable executing private and semi-private events with the support of our events team.
• Instill and maintain integrity of service, constantly moving throughout the venue while on the floor to solicit feedback and proactively enhance the guest’s experience.
• Proficiency in Toast POS is a must.
• The ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Have the ability to stand for a 10–12-hour shift and may be required to lift up to 30lbs occasionally.
• Should feel comfortable giving direction to security personnel.
• Availability to work late nights, weekends, and holidays is a must.
Must possess a NYC Food Handlers Permit.
