Key Responsibilities
As a Staff Product Manager at Prepared 911, you will drive the vision and execution of completely new, zero-to-one products aimed at revolutionizing public safety. You’ll work on large, cross-functional initiatives that push the boundaries of communication and data-sharing for 911 telecommunicators, dispatchers, and responders. Specifically, you will:
Lead Major Cross-Functional Projects: Plan and deliver complex features impacting multiple product areas. Define clear goals, align teams on product vision, and ensure consistent, high-impact delivery.
Shape and Communicate Roadmaps: Establish product roadmaps that reflect company strategy, balancing competing priorities and securing stakeholder buy-in. Keep diverse teams focused on delivering outcomes that advance our mission.
Champion Deep Customer Understanding: Conduct and synthesize extensive user research, regularly engaging with customers and stakeholders to embed empathy and real-world needs into every decision.
Perform In-Depth Market Assessments: Identify market gaps, competitive opportunities, and strategic levers for growth. Use these insights to influence product direction, ensuring Prepared’s offerings remain both innovative and robust.
Facilitate Stakeholder Alignment: Influence through clear articulation of the product vision, reconciling conflicting priorities and securing organizational commitment to drive large-scale projects forward.
Mentor and Develop PM Talent: Provide structured guidance to other product managers, sharing insights and lessons learned to enhance collective knowledge and leadership capabilities.
Drive Complex Initiatives: Tackle project blockers decisively, balancing speed with strategic impact. Keep cross-functional teams aligned on objectives and deliver on high-stakes deadlines.
What Makes You a Great Fit
Extensive Product Management Expertise: You bring 5+ years of experience delivering large-scale, cross-functional projects in B2B or B2G SaaS environments, ideally with exposure to 0-to-1 product development.
Technical Acumen: You’re adept at collaborating with engineering teams, translating high-level vision and product goals into actionable technical requirements.
Strategic Mindset: You excel at weaving market research, user feedback, and data analysis into coherent strategies that position products as market leaders.
Leadership & Collaboration: You have a proven record of building alignment across engineering, design, sales, and marketing teams, ensuring everyone is working toward a unified goal.
Adaptability & Growth Orientation: You thrive in rapidly changing environments, continuously iterating based on market and user feedback.
Self-Driven & Empathetic: You’re a self-starter who can proactively identify opportunities, inspire teams, and keep the customer’s needs at the heart of every decision.

Pay Transparency
The base pay for this role is $180,000 - $200,000 per year + company equity. You are also eligible for employee benefits, participation in Prepared’s unlimited vacation program.
