About the Role

As the Head of Luxury Carpet, Rug, and Textiles Design, you will lead the creation and execution of innovative, high-end collections. This role combines creative direction, strategic leadership, and hands-on design expertise. You will work closely with internal teams, clients, and production partners to deliver premium designs that align with market trends and uphold the brand’s luxury positioning.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute the creative vision for luxury carpet, rug, and textile collections.
• Develop innovative designs for woven, tufted, printed, and other soft surface products.
• Oversee the creation of custom designs tailored to high-end client specifications.
• Lead trend forecasting and market research to ensure products align with luxury industry standards.
• Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, product development, and sales, to drive business objectives.
• Manage relationships with vendors and mills to ensure quality production and timely deliveries.
• Mentor and inspire the design team, fostering a culture of creativity and innovation.
• Ensure all designs meet the highest standards of quality, precision, and consistency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Textile Design, Surface Design, or a related field (advanced degrees preferred).
• Minimum of 8 years’ experience in luxury carpet, rug, or textile design, with a proven track record in leadership roles.
• Expertise in color theory, trend forecasting, and advanced color matching techniques.
• Proficiency in design software, including CAD, Illustrator, Photoshop, and grid-based tools (e.g., NedGraphics, Texcelle).
• Experience managing vendor relationships and overseeing production processes.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and project management skills.
• Passion for luxury design, with a keen eye for detail and precision.
