Position Overview
A well-established, multi-site healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Director of Human Resources to lead and oversee all aspects of the HR function. This is a key leadership role responsible for driving HR strategy while ensuring the day-to-day operations of the department run efficiently. The ideal candidate will bring significant healthcare HR leadership experience , experience managing an HR team , and strong expertise in employee relations, compliance, and organizational leadership .
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required
- Master's degree or HR certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR) preferred
- 8+ years of progressive Human Resources experience
- 5+ years in an HR leadership role
- Healthcare industry experience required
- Experience leading HR within a multi-site organization
- Strong knowledge of employment law, compliance, and HR best practices
- Experience with HRIS and payroll systems
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Responsibilities
- Lead all Human Resources operations across the organization
- Oversee employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, compliance, and HR policies
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and direction to the HR team
- Partner with executive leadership to support organizational goals and workforce planning
- Oversee recruiting strategy and support hiring managers throughout the hiring process
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and employment regulations
- Lead employee investigations and resolve complex workplace issues
- Develop and implement HR initiatives that improve employee engagement, retention, and organizational performance
- Maintain and enhance HR policies, procedures, and best practices
- Utilize HR data and reporting to support strategic decision-making
Must-Haves
- Human Resources leadership experience
- Experience managing an HR department and team
- Strong employee relations experience
- Knowledge of employment law and regulatory compliance
- Experience supporting executive leadership
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
