Machine Operator

Our client, a leading manufacturer in the textile industry, is seeking a Machine Operator to join their team. As a Machine Operator you will be part of the manufacturing department supporting the production team. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and creativity, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Machine Operator

Location: West Coxsackie, NY

Pay Range: $23 per hour

What's the Job?

• Operate quilt machine to produce quilted panels for use in mattress assembly.
• Perform various sewing functions including Box Spring Sewing, Label Sewing, and Panel/Border Over Casting.
• Assist in the development of Work Assembly Instructions and recommend internal and external raw material requirements.
• Perform preventative maintenance for assigned equipment and report machine malfunctions.
• Participate in plant pilots and assist in new hire training.

What's Needed?

• Must have previous experience operating a quilting machine.
• Previous sewing experience in an industrial setting preferred.
• Problem-solving abilities and initiative.
• Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work overtime and occasional Saturdays.
