Field Environmental Technician (Temp-to-Perm)
Syracuse, NY 13204
$26 – $28 per hour (based on experience)

Job Summary:
We’re seeking a Field Environmental Technician to support operations at a Groundwater Treatment Plant and related field sites in the Syracuse area. Ideal candidates have mechanical experience and basic knowledge of water treatment systems — but we’re open to training individuals with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain groundwater treatment systems
• Inspect pumps, motors, and plumbing systems
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment and conveyance systems
• Perform regular site inspections and maintenance
• Document field data and perform recordkeeping
• Communicate system issues with team and leadership
• Support line cleaning and piping replacements
• May assist with equipment operation and grounds maintenance
• Optional: Work with PLC and SCADA systems (training available)
• Adhere to safety standards including HAZWOPER/Confined Space (if trained)

Qualifications:
✅ High School Diploma or GED required
✅ Valid driver’s license
✅ Solid mechanical aptitude
✅ Strong communication and teamwork skills
✅ Ability to work independently and problem-solve
✅ Experience in water treatment is a plus, but not required
✅ Previous training in HAZWOPER or Confined Space Entry is a bonus
