Maintenance Mechanic II Water
The Town of Riverhead is seeking a qualified individual to serve in the FT position of Maintenance Mechanic II in the Water District. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and possess a clean, valid driver's license.
Job Duties include but is not limited to:
- Performs maintenance such as painting and grass cutting of the Water District buildings and property
- Performs repairs in the field of carpentry, plumbing and minor electric work on the Water District buildings
- Performs basic maintenance and simple repairs to Water District equipment
- Prepares surfaces and paints both the interior and exterior of Water District buildings
- Assists higher level mechanics in the installations and maintenance of water distribution system for the Town including individual lines, hydrants, live water taps, etc.
- Repairs broken windows, cutting glass to size and shape and inserts in frames
- Cuts lawns and performs general landscaping of the Water District properties
- Does repair work of Water District properties due to vandalism Maintains Water District parking areas
- Any other related duties as assigned by the Town Supervisor and/or his/her designee.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 4 Years of high school
- 2 years of experience in a trade
- CDL is a PLUS, but not required
Pays $65, 449.64 per annum. Excellent benefit package.
