We are seeking an experienced SF6 Breaker & Switchgear Specialist to join our field operations team supporting utility and substation projects across the state of Florida. This is a hands‑on, traveling position ideal for a highly skilled technician who specializes in SF6 gas‑insulated breakers and switchgear systems and takes pride in precision, safety, and reliability.

What You’ll Do

• Perform maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of SF6 circuit breakers and gas‑insulated switchgear
• Conduct SF6 gas handling, filling, reclaiming, and leak detection
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical issues in high‑voltage equipment
• Execute breaker timing tests, insulation resistance testing, and related commissioning procedures
• Support substation outages, upgrades, and emergency response projects
• Ensure strict compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations
• Travel throughout Florida to various job sites

Travel & Schedule

• Travel required throughout the state of Florida
• Typical work schedule: 45–50 hours per week
• Must be willing to use personal vehicle for travel

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience working on SF6 breakers and switchgear
• Strong understanding of high‑voltage substation equipment
• Experience with breaker testing equipment and diagnostic tools
• Knowledge of SF6 gas handling procedures and environmental compliance
• Ability to work extended hours and travel consistently
• Valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle
• Strong commitment to safety and teamwork

Preferred

• NETA certification or equivalent testing experience
• Substation commissioning experience
• Utility or EPC background
