Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Critical Care (ED/ICU Holding Unit)

Location - Syracuse, NY

Position Overview

Seeking experienced day shift Registered Nurses for an Adult ED/ICU Holding Unit . Candidates must have strong ICU experience and be able to function independently in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment. Emergency Department experience, EPIC EMR exposure, and Level I or II trauma experience are highly preferred.

Schedule Requirements

• Day Shift

• Every other weekend required

• Some holidays required

• Set schedules are enforced

• Time off exceeding 7 days will not be approved

Required Qualifications

• Current New York State RN License (required)

• BLS certification (must be current and maintain recertification)

• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience (required)

• Minimum 1.5 years of recent experience (within the past 2 years) in an acute care facility of similar size and acuity

• Travelers must have experience in hospitals of equal or greater size or trauma centers

• Strong nursing assessment skills in an acute care/critical care setting

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Must not have had a professional license or certification suspended or under investigation

• Must not have been named as a defendant in a professional liability claim

• Legal authorization to work in the United States

• Successful completion of pre-employment health clearance

• Subject to drug screening and criminal background check

Highly Desired Experience

• Level I or Level II trauma hospital experience

• EPIC Electronic Medical Records experience

• Emergency Department (ED) experience
