2nd Shift Maintenance Technician

Position Summary

Install, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, physical structures, and plant utilities in a fast-paced aerospace environment. Execute preventive maintenance and respond to breakdowns across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems to maximize uptime and safety.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Preventive Maintenance: Inspect drives/motors/belts, check fluids, replace filters, clean/lubricate bearings/shafts/gears; keep building/utility systems in good condition via PM checklists.

• Mechanical Repairs: Replace chains, belts, bearings, gears, slide wear plates; install forging dies/fixtures ; align & balance equipment after installs/repairs.

• Electrical (to 480V): Troubleshoot control power (transformers, power supplies, contactors, relays, starters/overloads) up to 480V motors/distribution.

• Hydraulics: Diagnose pressure loss, cylinder actuation faults, pump/valve leaks; replace pumps, motors, cylinders, valves; verify system pressures.

• Technical References: Read/interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and maintenance manuals; plan and lay out repair work.

• Tools & Equipment: Safely use hand/power tools, precision instruments, and electrical/electronic test devices; cut/weld as needed; operate overhead cranes/hoists, forklifts, and scissor/boom lifts .

• Safety & Documentation: Maintain a safe, organized work area; follow LOTO and site procedures; record work performed and parts used in CMMS; escalate malfunctions promptly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.

• 3 5 years industrial maintenance experience.

• Ability to compute measurements and apply basic algebra/geometry.

• Able to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form; solve problems with several concrete variables in standardized situations.

• Forklift and man-lift certification to OSHA/site standards (or ability to obtain prior to start).

• Meets ITAR U.S. Person requirement; completes off-site physical successfully.

Schedule & Pay

• 2nd shift: 1:00 PM 9:00 PM, Monday Friday.

• No overtime required.

• One-round interview required.

• Off-site physical required prior to start.

Physical & Work Environment

Manufacturing environment with moving machinery, noise, and heat. Frequent standing, walking, and reaching; regular lifting up to 50 lbs ; required use of company-provided PPE and uniforms.
