Are you dependable, detail-oriented, and proud of a job well done? Join our mission-driven team as a Day Porter/Housekeeper and help ensure that Al Sigl’s shared campuses are always clean, welcoming, and safe for the thousands of individuals and families who walk through our doors each year.

In this full-time role, you'll be responsible for the appearance and upkeep of common areas—hallways, restrooms, entrances, meeting spaces, and more. Your work supports a high-quality environment for staff, guests, and the nonprofit agencies who call our campuses home.

Key Responsibilities
• Clean and maintain assigned areas with care and attention to detail.
• Conduct daily walkthroughs and respond promptly to urgent cleaning needs.
• Restock supplies and report shortages or maintenance concerns.
• Keep storage areas and supply carts neat, clean, and organized.
• Use our Work Order System and online portal to track tasks and hours.
• Assist with opening the facility, special event set up, and occasional coverage of off-hours shifts.

Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong work ethic and initiative—you take ownership of your responsibilities.
• Willingness to learn cleaning procedures, tools, and materials.
• Ability to work independently and manage your time well.
• Physical ability to lift, bend, move, and stay on your feet throughout your shift.
• Valid NYS driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Flexibility to support the team and pitch in as needed.

Bonus Skills:
• Previous custodial or housekeeping experience.
• Experience with work order systems or digital timekeeping.
• Friendly, team-focused attitude and good communication skills.
