Data Analyst
Careerscape is hiring a Remote Data Analyst for an NYC-based technology company with a fully distributed team. As a Data Analyst, you'll work with modern cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift), build dashboards in Tableau or Power BI, run A/B tests, and partner with stakeholders to answer the questions that move the business forward. You'll be a key bridge between raw data and the decisions leadership makes every day.

Responsibilities
- Write and optimize SQL queries against cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift)
- Build and maintain dashboards and reports in Tableau, Power BI, or Looker
- Partner with product, marketing, sales, and operations stakeholders to scope and answer business questions
- Conduct ad-hoc analyses, deep dives, and A/B tests that inform strategic decisions
- Translate findings into clear, actionable recommendations through presentations and written reports
- Define and track KPIs, build self-serve reporting, and improve data literacy across the organization
- Partner with data engineering and analytics engineering to improve data quality and documentation
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or analytics
- Strong proficiency in SQL and at least one BI tool (Tableau, Power BI, or Looker)
- Working knowledge of Python or R for data analysis
- Experience with cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift)
- Solid foundation in statistics, including A/B testing and significance testing
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical findings to non-technical audiences
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently in a fully remote environmentExperience with dbt, Airflow, or other modern data stack tools
- Background in product, marketing, or financial analytics
- Familiarity with experimentation platforms (Optimizely, LaunchDarkly, Statsig)
- Exposure to machine learning or predictive modeling
