Prep Cook

Altro Paradiso is seeking a Full-Time Prep Cook to join our kitchen team.

From globally acclaimed chef Ignacio Mattos , Altro Paradiso is a Michelin-recommended Italian restaurant in the heart of SoHo and a staple of New York City dining. Since opening in 2016, it has built a loyal following of neighborhood regulars and returning travelers alike, offering regionally inspired Italian cooking in a vibrant, light-filled space.

We are looking for a reliable, organized, and detail-oriented Prep Cook to support the daily operations of our kitchen. This role is essential to maintaining the quality, consistency, and efficiency of service through thoughtful preparation and strong teamwork.

Weekend and morning availability is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients and station components according to established recipes and standards
• Support daily prep production across multiple kitchen stations
• Maintain an organized, clean, and well-stocked prep area with proper mise en place
• Ensure consistency, cleanliness, and attention to detail in all preparations
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and kitchen procedures
• Assist the culinary team with additional prep and operational needs as directed
