Service Director
A world-renowned luxury brand's iconic Manhattan restaurant is seeking an experienced Floor
Manager to lead service on the floor. This role calls for a polished, detail-obsessed hospitality
professional who has run service at the highest level of fine dining and is ready to bring that
precision, presence, and guest-first instinct to one of the most recognized dining rooms in the
country. This restaurant blends fine-dining service standards with a vibrant, see-and-be-seen energy.
The ideal candidate is equally comfortable executing white-glove service and reading the room
in a lively, high-profile setting. (Property name shared with qualified candidates.) Key Responsibilities
● Own the guest experience on the floor during service, ensuring every table receives
seamless, polished, Ralph Lauren-caliber hospitality
● Lead, coach, and develop the front-of-house team, setting the tone for service standards
each shift
● Manage floor logistics — seating, pacing, table turns, and VIP/high-profile guest
handling — with discretion and poise
● Partner closely with the kitchen, reservations, and beverage teams to ensure smooth,
coordinated service
● Step in to resolve service issues in real time, maintaining composure and grace under
pressure
● Uphold and reinforce brand and service standards consistent with a globally recognized
luxury name Qualifications
● Prior experience at the Service Director, Director of Service, or senior Floor/Dining
Room Manager level at a top-tier fine-dining restaurant required
● Deep fine-dining background — Michelin-starred, tasting-menu, or comparably
acclaimed restaurant experience strongly preferred
● Proven ability to lead a front-of-house team and maintain composure in a fast-paced,
high-visibility environment
● Strong wine and beverage knowledge preferred
● Impeccable presentation, communication, and guest-relations skills
● Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by restaurant service What We're Looking For
