This role is ideal for a strong emergency nurse who thrives in high-acuity, fast-paced environments and is confident managing a wide range of critical and non-critical patients across all age groups.

Position Overview

• Role: Registered Nurse – Emergency Department
• Location: Utica, New York, United States
• Shift: Night Shift (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week (36 hours/week)
• Contract Type: Travel Assignment
• Floating: Required
• Block Scheduling: Not guaranteed
• Guaranteed Hours: Weekly

• Department: MVHS – Wynn Emergency Room (Unit 2000128)
• Total Capacity: 64 Beds
  • 2 Triage beds
  • 40 Acute beds
  • 6 Super Track beds
  • 2 Trauma beds
  • 10 CDU beds
  • 6 Psych beds

Patient Population & Diagnoses

• All age groups: Newborn, Pediatrics, Adults, Geriatrics
• Common Cases: Stroke, Sepsis, Trauma, Myocardial Infarction (MI), Cardiac Arrest, Respiratory Failure

Specialty Equipment

• Rapid Infuser system
• Arctic Sun (Targeted Temperature Management)

Requirements – Submission Checklist

• Will accept local candidates (within 75 miles – local rates apply)
• Minimum 2+ years ED experience required
• Must include Pediatric ED experience
• Travel experience is required
• Charge nurse capability highly preferred
• Must hold TNCC certification (in hand at submission)
• Active certifications required:
  • AHA BLS
  • AHA ACLS
  • PALS
  • NIHSS
  • TNCC (mandatory)
• Active New York RN License required (and all active RN licenses verified via NURSYS)
• Must provide:
  • Updated resume with ED and travel experience
  • Skills checklist matching Emergency Department specialty
  • Driver’s license with matching demographics
  • NURSYS verification report
  • RTO (Requested Time Off) submitted at time of application
• EPIC EMR experience required
