Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) for a 13-week travel assignment. This role is ideal for a confident, adaptable nurse with strong clinical skills who thrives in a fast-paced environment caring for patients of all ages and acuity levels.

As part of a collaborative, high-functioning emergency department team, you’ll provide exceptional patient care while utilizing your expertise in critical thinking, assessment, and rapid response.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care to neonate through geriatric patients.

• Perform triage, stabilization, and ongoing assessment for patients with varying levels of acuity.

• Administer medications, IV therapies, and emergency interventions as indicated.

• Manage patients requiring continuous IV sedation, vasopressors, or paralytics.

• Perform and interpret 12-lead ECGs, manage cardiac dysrhythmias, and assist in procedural sedations.

• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.

• Document all assessments, treatments, and outcomes accurately in the EPIC charting system.

• Float to other units as needed when census warrants.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Active NY RN license (required prior to start).

• Experience: Minimum 1 year of recent ER nursing experience; must be able to work independently.

• Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS.

• Charting: EPIC experience preferred.

• Travel Experience: Not required (first-time travelers welcome).
