Description:
- Seeking a skilled professional in the field of mammography technology for a full-time position in White Plains, NY.
- This role involves working under supervision to perform imaging procedures and assist radiologists.
- The position requires adherence to safety and quality standards, with a focus on patient care and effective communication.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Graduate of an accredited radiography school or hospital-based program
- NY State DOH Licensure or Limited Permit
- ARRT registered (RT)
- Advanced Mammo examination/certification within 1 year of hire
- 40 hours of training in mammography during orientation
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association within 90 days of hire
Qualifications:
- Experience with radiation protection principles
- Professional judgment in imaging procedures
- Ability to perform quality assurance and calibration of equipment
- Experience in patient preparation and positioning for exams
- Knowledge of the psychosocial needs of various patient populations
- Ability to assist physicians during procedures
- Experience in maintaining cleanliness and reporting equipment issues
