• Hours: 37.5 hours/week

• Shift: Day Shift

• Timing: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

• Workdays: 5 days/week

Compensation

• Gross Weekly Pay: $2,919/week

• W2 Rate: $18/hour

• Weekly Stipend: $2,240

Job Summary

A leading healthcare facility in New York City is seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) for a contract assignment in the Operating Room . The CST will support surgical services by assisting surgeons and registered nurses with scrub and circulating duties while maintaining strict adherence to sterile technique and patient safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform scrub and circulating duties during surgical procedures

• Maintain sterile field and ensure compliance with aseptic technique

• Assist surgeons by anticipating procedural needs

• Conduct accurate instrument, sponge, and needle counts

• Assist with patient positioning and preparation

• Handle surgical specimens according to protocol

• Support OR room setup, turnover, and cleanup

• Assist with medication preparation under RN supervision (excluding narcotics)

• Collaborate effectively with surgical team members

Requirements

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification – REQUIRED

• Minimum 2 years of Surgical Technologist experience

• CVOR experience – REQUIRED

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Strong knowledge of OR procedures and sterile technique

• Ability to work full-time day shift, 5 days per week

• Excellent teamwork, communication, and attention to detail
