About the Role

Our firm is seeking an experienced Insurance Defense Litigation Paralegal to support cases involving personal injury, general liability, and complex civil matters. This position requires strong organizational skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while supporting multiple attorneys.

Responsibilities

• Draft and prepare pleadings, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, and correspondence
• Manage case files from pre‑litigation through trial, including docketing deadlines and maintaining calendars
• Review, analyze, and summarize medical records, insurance documents, and investigative materials
• Coordinate depositions, IMEs, mediations, hearings, and trial preparation
• Assist with trial binders, exhibit lists, witness files, and courtroom logistics
• Conduct legal research and prepare summaries for attorney review
• Communicate with clients, experts, witnesses, and court personnel
• Maintain accurate and timely billable entries in accordance with client guidelines

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of litigation experience; insurance defense experience strongly preferred
• Solid understanding of civil procedure and state/federal court rules
• Proficiency with e‑filing systems and legal case management software
• Strong writing, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
• Paralegal certificate or bachelor’s degree preferred
• Knowledge of Civil Appeals a plus
