Shift: Days, 3x12

Duration: 13-Week Assignment

Hourly Pay : $40–$52 per hour

Weekly Pay: $1,380–$1,794 per week

Position Overview:

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking Operating Room Technician (OR Tech) for an exciting Travel or Local job in Cooperstown, NY.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare the OR for surgical procedures, ensuring all instruments, equipment, and supplies are available and sterile.

• Perform scrubbing duties for various surgical cases, maintaining strict aseptic techniques.

• Assist the surgical team by anticipating needs and passing instruments and supplies during procedures.

• Handle and manage surgical instruments, supplies, medications, media, and specimens per protocols.

• Ensure accurate counting of instruments, sponges, and supplies before, during, and after procedures.

• Collaborate with nurses and anesthesia personnel to ensure proper patient care and OR flow.

• Clean, restock, and set up instrument trays and cases for future procedures.

• Maintain knowledge of surgical procedures, equipment operation, and sterile processing standards.

• Support OR turnover by cleaning and preparing rooms between cases.

• Follow all hospital, safety, and infection control policies.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program preferred.

• Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred or required depending on facility.

• Previous OR Tech or surgical scrub experience highly desirable.

• Strong knowledge of sterile technique, surgical procedures, and instrument handling.

• Ability to work collaboratively with surgeons, nurses, anesthesia staff, and support teams.

• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.

• Ability to stand for long periods and lift or move equipment as needed.

• Willingness to work assigned 07:00–19:00 shift and adapt to fast-paced environments.
