Job Title: Registered Dietitian

Location: Bronx, NY

Pay Rate: $45.00 – $52.00 per hour

Weekly Hours: 40 hours

Schedule:

• Shift: Day Shift
• Timing: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• Hours per Day: 8 – 8.5 hours
• Days per Week: 5 days

Duration: 14 weeks (with strong potential for extension or permanent placement)

Job Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a qualified Registered Dietitian to provide nutrition assessment, education, and dietary planning in a clinical setting. This role involves working closely with physicians and healthcare teams to ensure appropriate nutrition care, with a focus on outpatient services and dialysis patient support.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patients’ nutritional needs and develop individualized care plans
• Educate patients on food and drug interactions
• Document dietary education and patient understanding in medical records
• Conduct patient and family interviews to obtain dietary history
• Interpret laboratory and clinical data related to nutrition care
• Provide ongoing nutrition counseling and follow-up care
• Collaborate with physicians on diet modifications
• Adjust patient meal plans and menus as needed
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation

Required Qualifications

• Registered Dietitian (RD) credential
  
  OR
• New York State Dietitian-Nutritionist Certification (NYSED)

Education

• Degree in Dietetics or Food and Nutrition from an accredited institution required
• Master’s degree preferred

Licensure / Certification

• Registered Dietitian (CDR) required for acute care
  
  OR
• New York State Dietitian-Nutritionist Certification (NYSED) required for post-acute care
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience (2 years preferred)
• Experience in outpatient settings preferred
• Experience working with dialysis patients highly preferred
• Strong understanding of clinical nutrition practices
