Full Time High School Visual Arts Teacher

St. Francis High School is looking for a Visual Art Teacher to join our school. We have an opening in Hamburg, NY.

The position:

SFHS is seeking a full-time Visual Arts teacher for the current 2025-2024 school year. Sections include General Art, Studio Art and Oil Painting. SFHS will be looking to expand the program to include Graphic Design and possibly working with CAD Software in the near future. The successful candidate will have a student-centered approach to teaching, maintain reflective teaching practice, be current with pedagogy and classroom technology, and bring a passion to inspire young men in arts and design.

Candidates must look to be an active member of the Fine Arts Department, bring a strong desire toward collaboration with colleagues and a commitment to an all-boys environment. Full-time teaching typically includes serving as an advisor in our student housing system and active engagement with our extra-curricular programs throughout the year.

Responsibilities

• Be present for school days between 7:55am - 2:45pm.
• Provide instruction to students by using a variety of teaching methods (courses, units etc).
• Maintain a safe environment for students by keeping the classroom clean and organized.
• Be able to educate students according to any IEP/504 accomodations.
• Communicate with parents and provide them with information about their son's performance and classroom behavior.
• Collaborate with other teachers and support the school in its activities.
• Be active in at least 1 extra curricular sport or club.

Skills & Qualifications Required Qualifications Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required, MA preferred.
• Prior teaching experience preferred.
• Experience with Graphic Art Programming
• Experience working with/teaching CAD Software preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $34,000.00 - $42,000.00 per year
