Job Title: Certified Tumor Registrar

Location: Brooklyn, NY, 11203

Pay Range:

$1645/week - $1950/week; $47/hr. - $55/hr.

(based on the experience, miles, and working hours).

Job Start: ASAP

Job Type: 13-week contractual + extensions

Shift Time: 08:00 AM - 04:30 PM

Working Hours: 35 hrs/week; 7 hrs/day and 5 days in a week

Position Summary:

3 years of tumor registry experience in an acute care hospital or equivalent abstracting experience. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prior experience in NPBC/CoC or any oncology standards and accreditation components
• Ability to prepare for surveys and manage corrective action plans
• Documentation management and organization
• Ability to interpret performance metrics and quality indicators
• Analytical thinking and data interpretation
• Development and implementation of policy and procedure documents
• Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary team members through accreditation steps

• Most Updated Resume
• Tumor Registry Certification (CTR) or Oncology Data Specialist (ODS) by the National Cancer Registrars Association. -RHIA (or eligible). -RHIT (or eligible).
