Position: Gastroenterologist

Type: Contract

Compensation: $150–$200/hour

Location: Preferred in person (SF)

Commitment: Up to 10 hours/week

Role Responsibilities

• Review and label clinical narratives, EHR notes, endoscopy reports, imaging findings, and case data related to gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary conditions.
• Identify and validate diagnoses, diagnostic workups, procedural findings, treatment plans, and outcomes such as IBD , GI bleeding , liver disease, and malignancies.
• Audit annotated datasets for clinical accuracy and guideline alignment with AGA , ACG , and AASLD .
• Evaluate AI-generated recommendations for diagnostic evaluation, medical management, and procedural interventions.
• Define annotation guidelines for complex GI conditions like inflammatory bowel disease, cirrhosis complications, and pancreatic disorders.
• Provide structured feedback to improve diagnostic reasoning, procedural accuracy, and patient safety.

Qualifications

Must-Have

• MD or DO with Gastroenterology specialization
• Board-certified or board-eligible in Gastroenterology
• Active U.S. medical license in good standing
• 5+ years of post-fellowship clinical experience
• Strong familiarity with EHRs , endoscopy reporting systems, and clinical terminologies

Preferred

• Experience with endoscopy, inpatient consults, and complex GI/hepatology cases
• Interest in medical AI or informatics
