Lead Data Scientist (Multiple Positions)
Responsibilities Own the analysis of large, complex datasets to solve technical and statistical challenges, and drive the strategic planning and execution of short- and long-term business goals. Perform in-depth analysis of user behavior, product features and systems to identify product growth opportunities, and generate actionable initiatives for senior leadership. Manage the improvement and optimization of product features and systems through statistical research on causal inference, experimentation, or other scientific methods. Interact cross-functionally, making business recommendations (cost-benefit, forecasting, and experiment analysis) with effective presentations of findings at multiple levels of stakeholders through visual displays of quantitative information. Partner with stakeholders across product, engineering, and business teams to identity trends, align data science solutions with strategic goals, and to deliver scalable, data-driven improvements. Manage and mentor junior and mid-level team members, providing technical guidance, fostering skill development, and sharing data science best practices. Qualifications Must have a Master's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Information Technology, Data Science, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field, and 3 years of related work experience; OR a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Information Technology, Data Science, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field, and 5 years of post-bachelor's, progressive related work experience. Of the required experience, must have 3 years of experience in each of the following: Mining, preparing, cleansing, and analyzing structured data using statistical computing languages SQL, Python, and R for metrics creation, root cause analysis, and model preprocessing; Using SQL queries and data visualization tools to gather, process, visualize, and analyze large quantities of data to detect trends and anomalies in support of business opportunity identification; Analyzing large quantities of data to detect anomalies using Python and statistical analysis techniques; Developing graphical and visual representations of data using business intelligence tool Excel or Tableau; and Building, tuning, and validating statistical models for regression and classification problems in Python and R.
