Position Overview

Our client, a leading Audiovisual integrator serving the NYC Metro region, is looking for an experienced Audiovisual Design/Sales Engineer to join our team. This is a full-time, direct-hire position and candidates dhoild possess a blend of technical proficiency in audiovisual systems and strong sales capabilities, ensuring that we meet our clients' evolving needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with clients to assess their audiovisual needs and recommend tailored solutions.
• Design and propose audiovisual systems and solutions, including equipment selection and integration.
• Provide in-depth product knowledge and demonstrate the benefits of our solutions to clients.
• Work collaboratively with the engineering and installation teams to ensure seamless project execution.
• Maintain ongoing relationships with clients for future opportunities and support.
• Utilize CRM tools to track sales activities, manage leads, and report on sales performance.
• Stay current with industry trends, new technologies, and product advancements.
• Participate in training programs and workshops as needed to enhance skills and knowledge.

Essential Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of experience in audiovisual integration or sales.
• Strong networking skills, generating leads and sales via the firm's referral ecosystem of consultants, architects, general contractors, channel and distribution partners, as well as tech vendor contacts.
• Proficient in the sales of industry-standard technologies and products such as Crestron, Extron, QSC, Biamp, Audinate and others, including VTC, Audio, Sound Bars, Microphone arrays, etc.
• Understanding of audiovisual design principles and best practices.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
• Ability to build and maintain client relationships.
• Strong Team Player
• CTS, CTS-D certifications from AVIXA is highly desirable.

Compensation

The annual salary for the Audiovisual Design/Sales Engineer will, be market-competivve, commensurate with experience. There will also be an uncapped commission plan, and a first-year ramp will be in place.
